The seed to vase course gives you the chance to follow me on my journey as a professional cut flower grower, meeting monthly with like minded folk at Cotswold Country Flowers. Be prepared to don your old jeans and boots and get your hands dirty.

In a friendly, supportive environment, you’ll learn all the skills you need to sow, nurture and grow a patch of beautiful flowers in your own garden and enjoy the rewards of your own stunning blooms from early summer to late autumn.

Dates proposed for 2025:

Sundays: 2nd March, 30th March, 4th May, 1st June, 6th July, 3rd August

Tuesdays: 4th March , 1st April, 6th May, 3rd June, 8th July, 5th August

You’ll learn to…

  • Plan and prepare the ground for planting.

  • Choose seeds, tubers and bulbs that’ll give you a variety of shapes and colours all season long.

  • Sow and plant your seeds

  • Nurture your plants and your soil.

  • Cut and condition and arrange your flowers for months of spectacular displays.

Each month we’ll celebrate our successes (and share our disappointments), enjoy plenty of tea and cake, and make new friends. At the end of every session you’ll take something home with you – whether it’s a starter kit to get you going, a tray of seeds or a recently potted dahlia.

At the end of the course, a booklet summarising the main topics covered will be provided to refer back to in years to come.

The course runs over six sessions and your investment for a garden full of flowers this year and in years to come is £385.
